DIY - Simple Summer Project: Bug Repellent Mason Jars

Ingredients:

Fresh lemon slices
Fresh lime slices
Fresh rosemary sprigs
Essential oils: eucalyptus, citronella, lavender, basil (optional)
Floating tea light candles
Water (room temperature)
25 oz Flint Glass Mason Jars

Instructions:

Prepare the Mason Jars: Wash your 25 oz Flint Glass Mason Jars thoroughly with warm, soapy water and let them dry completely.
Add Fresh Ingredients: Place a few slices of lemon and lime into each mason jar. Add 2-3 sprigs of fresh rosemary to each jar.
Essential Oils: Add about 10 drops of eucalyptus essential oil to each jar. Then, add 15 drops of citronella essential oil. Lastly, add 10 drops of lavender essential oil and optionally add 10 drops of basil essential oil. These essential oils are known for their bug-repelling properties and will give your jars a pleasant scent.
Fill with Water: Fill each mason jar with water, leaving about an inch of space at the top.
Add the Candle: Place a floating tea light candle on top of the water in each jar. The candle will float on the surface.
Light the Candle: When you're ready to use the bug repellent jars, light the tea light candles. The heat from the candle will help release the bug-repelling scents into the air. Always keep an eye on lit candles and never leave them unattended. Place the jars on a stable surface away from flammable objects.
