Paul chose to name the company "SKS" after his sons, Steve, Ken and Sean, in hopes that they would join the business someday. In 2010 Ken took over the role of President within the company after spending years as the purchasing manager. Steve has been working at the company for over 10 years and is currently the Vice President of Web Operations.

Whatever the packaging need and however much the quantity, from 100 to 100 million, SKS has remained the #1 place to purchase your containers. SKS began generating sales with a staff of sales representatives and a mail-order catalog. After 10 successful years building business with a mail order catalog, SKS began moving into the e-commerce market in 1996. Eventually the physical catalog was discontinued with the full stock of containers being available to view and order on the web. Additionally, a strong team of inside and outside sales representatives continues today.

In 2005 the business grew as well as our numbers within the company, facilitating a move from our smaller office in Clifton Park to a large warehouse location in Watervliet, NY. Needing even more space, we expanded the Watervliet warehouse to accommodate the growing business at the end of 2010. Given the success of moving to an e-commerce platform, we were able to start offering free shipping on orders over $250 in June 2010. In late 2011 we introduced the option to purchase and design custom labels with container orders in late 2011, allowing SKS to provide convenient one-stop ordering for customers.

Since the beginning we've always focused on being environmentally conscious first with our products and production. Our SKS logo is designed to give an earthy feel, to further reflect our desire to produce 100% recyclable products. Our added bonus on the website - Mystery Bags - are free to select with any order, and this is where our surplus product goes to avoid waste.

We serve customers locally and worldwide, including Fortune 500 companies across the country as well as larger, better-known clients such as Revlon and Este Lauder. The business has been going strong for the past 25 years, maintaining the accessibility of a family business while growing the company to meet the needs of our customers and building solid relationships with clients, big and small.

We provide personal care, cosmetics, perfume, salon and spa, food and beverage, medicinal, and household chemical product packaging both to high-volume clients, such as Seventh Generation and small businesses selling through narrower distribution channels.

For this reason, SKS innovated the creation of "kit" packs, which enable businesses to purchase smaller quantities from SKS than from other distributors, at wholesale prices. This helps small businesses reduce costs by eliminating unnecessary overhead and needless storage fees. At the same time, large companies ordering pallet quantities from SKS enjoy deep discounts.

We also sell packaging accessories and equipment such as shrink bands, heat guns, and packing machines, and offer packaging design, labeling, and decorating services for companies that require or desire special bottle fashioning.
