Pumpkin Spice Body Butter

Soap Deli News created this Autumn body butter recipe that is perfect for pumpkin spice lovers and can be conveniently housed in SKS’ brown paperboard jars. Not only does the pumpkin spice moisturizer smell like freshly baked pumpkin pie, but it also makes skin glow using eco-friendly body glitter and, as a bonus, is 100% vegan!

1. Combine 1.25 oz shea butter, 1.5 oz kokum butter, and .25 oz candelilla wax in a double boiler and heat over medium to medium-low heat until melted.


2. Once melted, remove from heat and stir in 1 oz of pumpkin seed oil, .05 oz pumpkin spice fragrance oil, .3 oz kaolin clay, and 10 drops of vitamin E oil.


3. For some sparkle, whisk in .4 oz of biodegradable glitter.


4. As the body butter starts to thicken, remix, then spoon into the paperboard jars.

Paperboard jars come with rolled edge flush fit caps in sizes ranging from 1/2 oz to 8 oz. These brown jars are constructed from 100% paperboard, which is renewable, recyclable, compostable, and biodegradable. These eco-friendly jars are made with an oil-resistant paper barrier making them appropriate for products like body butter, lip balms, or other cosmetics.

Painted Spider Vase

Do you feel your "spidey senses" tingling as Halloween approaches? Simply Being Mommy blog used our 16 oz clear glass beverage bottles to create some spider inspired home decor for the occasion!

1. Draw spiders on the clear glass beverage bottle with a permanent marker.


2. Take a hot glue gun and trace over the drawings to create 3D spiders.


3. Coat the clear glass bottle with colorful spray paint.


4. After the spray paint is dry, use a small paintbrush and carefully paint over the raised spiders with black paint.


5. Once the paint has dried, fill with Halloween stems found at any craft store and display!

Halloween Lotion Bars

Solid lotion bars are not only cute, but also practical and perfect for moisturizing and protecting against dry skin caused by Fall weather. This spook-tacular recipe from Soap Deli News is the perfect mix of fun and function for the Halloween season!

1. Combine 2 oz of beeswax pastilles, 2 oz of bacuri butter, and 2.25 oz of buriti oil in a double boiler over medium to medium-low heat until melted.


2. Once melted, remove from heat and stir in .15 oz cedarwood oil and .1 oz lavender oil.


3. Lightly dust a Halloween silicone mold with biodegradable glitter and pour lotion mixture on top.


4. Once the solid lotion bars have fully solidified, pop them out of the mold, then package in SKS’ amber PET plastic jars.


5. To decorate the packaging, add spooky or seasonal stickers or labels.

PET plastic heavy wall amber jars are available in a 2 oz, 4 oz, or 8 oz size.
