Are you currently filling your containers by hand? If so, you should consider our Omnispence automatic filling machine. The Omnispence uses very little workspace; standing only 15” high and 12” wide. This dispenser is a variable speed peristaltic pump suitable for dispensing liquids that range in viscosity. Since the liquids being dispensed remain in contact with the tubing only, you do not have to worry about contamination. Once you try this automatic filling machine you will never go back to filling bottles by hand.

Once your container is filled you should look for whether or not leakage is a concern. If you are looking to help secure your product in the container, and offer additional barriers against leakage you should consider utilizing an induction-lined cap. The induction liner is hermetically sealed to the container allowing benefits such as eliminating leakage, making your product tamper-evident, helping to provide a “freshness seal”. The induction process is a non -contact heating process that hermetically seals the container with the closure that has a heat seal able foil liner. An electromagnetic current is induced into the foil, the heated foil melts the wax layer, which is absorbed into the pulp board, and the polymer coating melts sealing the foil to the lip of the container. SKS now offers induction-lining equipment to seal the container. We have available units that are both hand held as well as automated. If you are interested only in making your product tamper-evident, heat seal able shrink bands may be of interest to you. Shrink bands are usually made of PVC plastic and contain a perforation for easy removal. Once the band has been removed it cannot be re-applied to the container. PACKAGING TIPS:
If you are considering using an induction lined cap there are several things you should look for in choosing the correct induction liner. It will be important to know what type of material the container is made of, as there are different liners for polypropylene, polyethylene, PET and glass materials. Also it would be important to know if you are looking for a clean peel liner that does not leave any residual on the container, or if one with a pull-tab would be necessary. Also important to consider when utilizing a tamper-evident shrink seal, you will need to know if the container/closure has a lip that the shrink seal can adhere to. If it does not, the band can be removed in tact. If that were the case you would want the tamper evident shrink band to fit over the entire container.
