Packaging Tip

Choosing the Right
Container for You!

Pick a product that suits the item being contained. It is not just an old wives tale that you should not make candy in the rain. When making cake and candy products the most common ingredient is sugar which is highly sensitive to moisture. Humidity in the air can cause alterations in the sugar, which can result in various product consistencies and results. When using candy making containers and cake decorating containers keep in mind that different materials have different moisture barriers. Also, LDPE plastic has a good barrier to moisture. Before using any containers or closures be sure to test for compatibility.
