We have found a solution to help keep your glitter from spilling all over.  Use the plastic container with sifter top and screw top lid to dispense your glitter without the big mess.  If you buy your glitter in bulk this is also a good way to store your supply in smaller containers so that they stay neat and clean.  They can neatly be stacked on your craft supply shelf in your hobby room so you can quickly retrieve your supplies when you need to.
