The 16 oz clear glass mayo / economy jars are available with 70G gold metal plastisol-lined caps. To create a vacuum seal, the container and product must be heated to recommended temperatures, softening the liner. As the product cools, the liner solidifies and creates an airtight seal with the container. The caps also feature a tamper evident button that pops up after the vacuum seal has been broken.
